Backpack Buddy workshop

About this event

In the workshop, we will craft an adorable backpack companion. The main character Rosali in Maria Vilja’s Invisible Backpack books has a soft toy friend, Piggy, who voices Rosali’s feelings as a power figure and companion. In the workshop, everyone gets to make their own character as a backpack companion. The companion can be carried along as one's own power figure and friend, who sees the secret backpack and reminds of its existence. In the workshop, we will consider what important reminder one's own backpack companion could offer. The workshop is led by illustrator-author Maria Vilja and children and youth emotional skills instructor Reetta Huhta. Welcome! Admission to the workshop is free.
