About this event
Would you like to practice reading aloud? A reading dog is a patient listener with whom reading doesn't have to be stressful. A reading dog offers listening ears and an empathetic, furry presence to someone reading aloud. Reading skills develop with a reading dog! One reading session lasts about 15 minutes. You can read a book you've brought with you to the dog or choose a book from the library's collection. The reading dog's handler is present during the reading session. The handler's task is to supervise the reading session from the sidelines but not to interfere with its progress. Autumn season programme: Wednesdays 9.9., 30.9., 21.10., 18.11. and 9.12. at 17-18.20. Instructions for the reading session: Book a time at the library's info desk or by phone at 09 31085063 (only one time per session). Please remember to cancel your booking if you can't make it. One reader at a time. You can practice reading aloud with the reading dog. Calm down for reading. The reading dog is a reading companion, not a playmate. Reading dogs enjoy petting. However, always ask the owner for permission first. Welcome to read, the dog listens in all languages! The event is free of charge. The picture shows Border Terrier Häxa
