About this event
Do you live in Vantaa? Do you want to know more about Finland and your rights? This course provides information about Finnish society. The course topics are discussed and learned together in a group, guided by a teacher. The course is primarily intended for parents who care for their children at home, pensioners, or students. However, anyone can register. If you are a jobseeker, an employment specialist will check if you can participate. What will be studied? ✓ Finnish society and its values ✓ Living in Finland ✓ Family life and children ✓ Your rights and responsibilities ✓ Working life and studying in Finland ✓ Services (e.g., Kela, Migri, Vero) ✓ Health and aging ✓ Other important everyday matters in Finland Where and when? Time: 14 September – 8 December 2026 Classes are on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 AM–12 PM Location: Vantaa Adult Education Centre Address: Kultarikontie 1, 3rd floor, Tikkurila The course lasts 70 hours and is free for participants. You will receive a certificate for the course. You can bring your child to the course. A childminder will be present. Link: Register by Monday 7 September at the latest!
