About this place

The fish-rich Kyrönjoki river flows through Isokyrö. Popular lure fishing spots are eight rapids, some of which have campfire sites and lean-tos. The Isokyrö Fishing Club annually stocks rainbow trout in the Kyrönjoki river in the Isokyrö area. The area has 8 different types of rapids where you can fish, as well as excellent shores for worm fishing, for example. When fishing with a lure, you need a permit from the Isokyrö Fishing Club and a state fishery management fee for those aged 18-65. Worm fishing is prohibited in rapid areas. The salmon catch limit is 2 salmon per day. Sea trout, rainbow trout, grayling, whitefish, ide, pike, perch, lamprey, and burbot thrive in the river. Fishing is restricted by catch quotas and some other restrictions. Fishing permits are sold by; Grilli-kahvio Tarjantti, Grilli-Kahvio Karoliini, R-kioski, POP pankki and Ylihärmän Säästöpankki. Salmon can also be fished in the Kalliojärvi recreational area. Inquiries: Isokyrö Fishing Club chairman Erkki Hietanen tel. 0400 716 618
