In Lappajärvi, on the accessible cultural nature trail of Kanavapuisto, you can explore Finnish tree and rock species in a natural park environment. The accessible 1.2 km long wooden path, almost 2 metres wide, allows for smooth movement with assistive devices such as wheelchairs and prams. Along the trail, there are 14 guides on trees and 8 guides on rocks. The Kanavapuisto cultural nature trail is widely used in early childhood education, environmental and cultural education in basic education, and in the teaching of Lappajärvi Geolukio. At the end of the cultural nature trail, by the river, there is an accessible Lappish hut kitchen, suitable for use by the whole family.
