Along the outdoor recreation route connecting Villa Elfvik Nature House and Otaniemi, there is a low viewing platform from which you can observe Laajalahti birds and cows grazing on the shore meadows from a very close distance. The Laajalahti nature reserve is part of the Natura 2000 network and one of Finland's most significant bird wetlands. Following the outdoor recreation route, you can also visit the Elfvik birdwatching tower, which is approximately 1 km from the viewing platform.
