Vehmerin luontotaival

The route runs through pine-dominated forest terrain, partly along paths and partly along the roadside. The section of approximately one kilometre that runs through beautiful lakeside scenery from Vehmersalmi village to the end of a road called Rantarinne, leading to Luukaarre lean-to, is equipped with nature trail signs. Hikers on the trail are told, among other things, about the traces left by the Ice Age in nature, the changing forest nature, and the many inhabitants of the forest. NOTE! Forest harvesting is being carried out in the vicinity of Luukaarre lean-to on the nature trail, so those moving along the nature trail should exercise caution. There are signs warning of felling on the trail.
