Suolijärven luontopolku

The Suolijärvi nature trail in Hervanta runs entirely along the shore of Suolijärvi. The trail is approximately 4.5 km long, and along it, you can become familiar with various plants from both bogs and groves. In places, the landscape of Suolijärvi is coloured by steep rock faces and massive erratics. Please note that the Suolijärvi nature trail does not have up-to-date signage. The renovation of the nature trail has begun with the planning of markers, and new boards will be erected in the area during summer 2024. The text content of the information boards can already be found on this website. The route has more difficult sections and roots, so it is not accessible. It is a good idea to start the nature trail loop from the Suolijärvi beach car park, where you can also leave your car or bicycle. The site can also be reached, for example, by local buses. From the Suolijärvi nature trail, there is a connection to the Suolioja campfire site, which is located on the shore of Särkijärvi.
