Huuhanmetsä

Huuhanmetsä is located in the southwestern part of the Niirala residential area. The area is a mixed forest situated on a slope, bordered by fitness trails. In winter, the route serves as an illuminated ski track. The area includes the Huuhanmäki frisbee golf course, which starts from Minna Canth School and largely covers the forest areas. At the top of Huuhanmäki, in an open space, stands the Huuhanmäki observatory. The area can be accessed on foot and by bicycle from several points, such as Minna Canth School, the Niirala residential area, and the pedestrian and cycle path along Tasavallankatu. The nearest bus stops are located at the eastern end of the area on Tasavallankatu and on the northern side in Niirala on Ruotsinkatu, approximately 400 m from the area.
