The Kvarnträsk private 37-hectare nature reserve, established in 1995, includes the lake and its shore forests. Camping and bivouacking are prohibited in the Kvarnträsk nature reserve. Movement on the water area of the Kvarnträsk nature reserve is prohibited between 15.4. and 15.7.
