Alasen reitti
Alajärventie 837, 63800 Soini
About this place
The Alasenlampi hiking trail offers a varied and experiential circuit around a beautiful pond. The route is approximately 2.5 km long and traverses diverse terrain. It also includes one steeper ascent and descent, which add a pleasant challenge. Starting point: A spacious car park can be found at Alajärventie 837, right next to Alasenlampi. The area also has a public swimming beach, a 'kota' (traditional Finnish hut) and a lean-to shelter, all freely available for everyone to use. An outdoor toilet is also available. Route: The trail starts about 200 metres from the car park towards Soini, turning left into the terrain at the red arrow. The route is marked with red arrows painted on wooden shingles and red ribbons. Special feature: Along the trail, you will find caricatures and anecdotes by artist Reijo Kivijärvi, which bring joy and humour to the hike. There is also a wooden shingle guestbook along the route, where visitors can leave their greetings.
