Pölhö

Pölhö's rocky island is located at the beginning of Saaristokatu when heading from the city centre. Pölhö features a grill shelter, which can be reached from Saaristokatu by a 250 m long, wide gravel road. At the beginning of the gravel road there is a barrier, the key to which can be requested by visitors with disabilities from the customer service at the council house. The grill shelter area also includes a woodshed, an accessible toilet, a paddling pier, a pier, and mooring buoys. Additionally, forest paths allow walking around the island. The tree stand in the area is mainly pine-dominated mixed forest. Good rocky spots can be found on different sides of the island, offering views of Kallavesi. The area can be accessed on foot or by bicycle along Saaristokatu. The nearest bus stops are located along Saaristokatu opposite the island. A small car park is also located next to the area.
