Kalliokodan laavu

Kalliokota is located in Myötämäenkalliot, Jurva's Tainuskylä. The easiest way to find it is from the Sahanhauta forest road, from which a marked trail leads to the kota. The shortest route to the kota from the car is a little over a kilometre. When starting the left-hand loop, the trail begins on a forest road but then branches into a smaller path that starts to climb towards the cliffs. The path is quite rooty and rocky. Kalliokota is located on a high point, but it is difficult to spot from the middle of the forest. The kota is large and well-maintained. It has plenty of seating. The area also features an outhouse and another campfire site. The surroundings of the kota have many large cliffs. Continuing past the second campfire site, the path leads to a lookout tower, offering views for several tens of kilometres. Climbing the lookout tower is at your own risk! Firewood is also located at the lookout tower! From the lookout tower, there are several different route options back to the starting point, the shortest of which is about 2 km of easy-to-follow path.
