Jynkänvuori-Jynkänmäki

Jynkänvuori-Jynkänmäki is a large wooded area located in the northern part of the Rautaniemi district. The area features large hills and significant elevation changes, making some of its routes challenging. Jynkänvuori, 160 m high, is located in the western part of the area, and Jynkänmäki, 161 m high, is in the eastern part. Along the slopes of the hills runs an extensive network of exercise trails, which serve as cross-country ski tracks in winter. The area also has numerous forest paths. From the Jynkänmäki exercise trail, there are magnificent views over Kallavesi and towards Puijo. On the southern edge of the area, along the exercise trail, when entering from Isännäntie, there is the Jynkänvuori fitness shelter. Behind Uppo-Nalle kindergarten, along the exercise trail, there is a lean-to, which is not for public use. The area is accessible from the surrounding residential areas and from the ends of several streets. Parking is available near the area, in the Lippumäki sports park, with an access route to the area. The nearest bus stops are along Rauhalahdentie and Lehtoniementie.
