Espoonlahti bird-watching tower is located at the back of the bay on the south shore of Fiskarsinmäki. The area with its reed beds is an important breeding ground for many water and wetland birds. Lucky observers might spot a fishing grey heron or osprey through their binoculars. Fiskarsinmäki is worth visiting for more than just birds. There, one can experience the rare atmosphere of a noble hardwood grove in Finnish conditions. Early in spring, hazel bushes bloom yellow, and solid-tubered corydalis, white, blue, and yellow anemones, and other beauties of the groves take over the ground.
