In Pekka Sirviö's Foundation's demonstration forest, one can explore various forest types and forestry. The parking area of the demonstration forest is located directly along Hernejärventie. At the starting point of the route in the parking area, there is a campfire site and a WC. The paths are easy to navigate, but shoes may get wet in rainy weather. Some sections have duckboards. The area is partly a nature reserve. Two marked paths of different lengths run through the demonstration forest. The longer path is approximately 2.9 kilometres long and allows exploration of various forest types. The area mostly consists of pine and spruce forests of different ages, varying from dry pine heaths to moist mires. Birch groves can also be found along the route. Information boards describing the different forest types are located at their respective spots. The shorter path is approximately 1.6 kilometres long and partly follows the same route as the longer one. The shorter route also passes through a magnificent ancient old-growth forest. From the paths, one can detour to see the largest tree in the forest as an attraction.
