Vesanterinpolven laavu
Lahdenkyläntie, 44300 Konnevesi
About this place
Vesanterin polvi is a sharp bend in the Lapunjoki river. The lean-to shelter is located on a small mound at the bend of the river and is surrounded by the forested swamp of Honkaneva. The lean-to shelter is at the western end of the Konnevesi forest trail, and the forest trail starts from the museum hill. In summer, the lean-to shelter is also easy to reach by boat from Liesvesi along the Lapunjoki. In winter, skiers stop at the lean-to shelter, skiing there along the ice of the Lapunjoki from road 69 or Liesvesi, or from Lake Lapunjärvi along the riverbank. The lean-to shelter has firewood. There is no water point, but the Lapunjoki river has dark water, is quite clean and potable after boiling, especially if plenty of coffee grounds are added.
