Myllypuron liikuntapuisto / Opastuspiste

The main outdoor recreation route to northeastern Helsinki passes through Myllypuro Sports Park. The sports park is dominated by large playing field areas with both grass and sand surfaces. The rinkball field serves as an ice hockey rink in winter. The outdoor recreation route running through Vartiokylä and Mellunkylä to Mellunmäki serves as a ski track in winter. In Mellunmäki, there is a 0.7 km fitness trail with exercise equipment. From here, you can reach the Mustavuori outdoor recreation area, whose network of routes serves walkers and cyclists in summer and skiers in winter. The area has a 2.4 km illuminated fitness trail, which serves as ski tracks for both freestyle and classic styles in winter. Part of the Mustavuori area is a nature reserve, and nature excursions are arranged there.
