Kukonkylän laavu

The starting point of the nature trail is in the immediate vicinity of the intersection of Kukonkyläntie and Pole, next to the old shop. It is advisable to park your car in the widening at the starting point. The trail is 3 kilometres long and is marked with light paint spots and wooden signs. The terrain is mostly easy to navigate (if you stay on the trail), but mushroom and berry pickers should be prepared with tall boots, or other well-equipped shoes, as outside the trail the terrain quickly changes from 'devil's fields' (stony fields) to various types of bogs.
