Stora Herrö is located on the border of Espoo and Kirkkonummi, south of Pentala. Some of the island's land areas are private. Camping is allowed. The island has a rental sauna, cooking shelters, firewood, an outdoor toilet, fire pits, a lookout tower, as well as mooring buoys and an archipelago ferry pier with regular routes during the summer season.
