The route has several starting points. The marked main route begins from the Sports Field car park at Etelälinjakatu 2. The Kasarminlahti route runs for several kilometres along paths in varied landscapes. The length of the route can be extended by combining it with the Sorvakon and Lasamäen fitness trails. The accessible nature trail offers the opportunity to move in a safe environment in the forest and by the water and to observe nature. The Kasarminlahti area is rich in birdlife and also serves as a resting place for many migratory birds. The accessible route and birdwatching platform are designed for a diverse user group. The route is suitable for people with reduced mobility and the elderly, as well as for families with children moving with prams.
