Mäkiaution rotko

The gorge is a beautiful geological rock formation, where a covered walking route, approximately 150 metres long, with stairs and walkways, has been built. In the gorge, you can admire steep rock walls and diverse vegetation. The gorge provides access to the new Mäkiautio lean-to, which is a great rest stop with fine views for eating snacks and grilling sausages. Firewood is supplied at the lean-to, and there is also a dry toilet. Please hike without littering, following the "Bring in - Take out" principle. Mäkiaution gorge is part of the Tahko Tähdet hiking trail. Upon completion, the entire Tahko Tähti trail will be approximately 10 km long and feature several natural attractions in Tahko's rugged landscapes. Tahko's observation tower also falls along the Tähti trail.
