About this place

The Kiimajoki route is Teisko's secret gem. The Kiimajoki canoeing route, implemented at the turn of the millennium, is located in the landscapes of Velaatta and Terälahti in Northern Tampere. The historic logging route follows the Kiimajoki downstream after Lake Velaatta and finally ends in Terälahti, Lake Näsijärvi. The area features approximately 17 km of guided canoeing routes and three campfire sites, one of which includes a unique, naturally designed lean-to complex with a woodshed and a dry toilet. Landing place, campfire site, woodshed with wood supply, dry toilet and information board.
