Kuhankuonon retkeilyreitistö - Kullaanpolku
Kisakatu 3, 21200 Raisio
About this place
Part of the Kuhankuono hiking trail network. The Kuhankuono trails traverse exceptionally vast and continuous forest areas, rocks, and raised bogs for southern Finland. Part of the trail network is maintained by Metsähallitus and part by the Kuhankuono hiking trail network association. Orange ribbon + 3 blue dots = loop trail. Orange ribbon + 3 white dots = connecting trail. The route passes through: Raisio, Rusko. Kullaanpolku is the most urban of the trail network's sub-routes, as one of its starting points is at the Kerttula sports centre in the city of Raisio. Nevertheless, the route includes very natural sections, especially in the Kullavuori nature reserve. The scenic diversity of Kullaanpolku is enhanced by river views and beautiful agricultural landscapes. The other starting point of the route is Rusko ski resort, from which the actual circular route is about 700 metres away. Kullavuori lean-to, which also has a toilet, serves as a resting place on Kullaanpolku. There is also a nature trail on Kullavuori. Another option for grilling sausages is at the Haunisten allas campfire site, which is about 100 metres off the main circular route. The Haunisten resting place also has a wood shelter and a toilet. The route has enough elevation changes that it is classified as moderately difficult. Sturdy shoes are therefore necessary when walking on the rocks. The total length of the route is almost 13 kilometres, and at least four hours should be reserved to complete it.
