Puijonnokka-laavu

Puijonnokka viewpoint is located on Julkulanmäki, which is part of the magnificent Puijo recreational area. A landscape opening towards the archipelago of Northern Kallavesi has been made at the northern end of the area, in Puijonsarvi, below the outdoor path. The construction materials for the lean-to shelter built at the viewpoint come from wind-felled trees collected from Puijo. The wood for the table, made from burr spruce, grew approximately 100 metres away. The lean-to shelter is right by the outdoor path and is most easily accessed from the Puijonsarvi end, by walking up the hill along the outdoor path/walking track next to the ski trail, starting from the statue of Aaro Jalkanen. The distance is just under a kilometre. Equipment: lean-to shelter, campfire site, composting toilet, and woodshed.
