This 2.9 km long route in the Laajalahti nature reserve runs along the shore from Villa Elfvik nature house to Otaniemi. Laajalahti is especially worth visiting in spring, when thousands of birds arrive at the bay to rest. You can observe the area's nature from the Maari bird watching tower and the Laajalahti viewing platform without disturbing it. There are no information boards along the route. A large part of the route consists of narrow duckboards. The route is passable with outdoor footwear. The duckboards can be slippery when wet. The route can be accessed from Villa Elfvik nature house and from Otaniemi, Konemiehentie road.
