Pisa is a Metsähallitus nature site: Quote from www.luontoon.fi/pisa: "The Pisa area has been famous since the 19th century for its landscapes, which open up from Pisanmäki. Magnificent lake and hill landscapes can be admired from the observation tower at the highest point of Pisa's summit. At the top of the hill, you can also explore the border markers of the Treaty of Teusina, carved into the rock over 400 years ago. The area is well suited for a day trip. Pisa is a nationally valuable landscape area where the preservation of old-growth forests is pursued. The area also includes a protected, 1.5 ha area owned by the Kuopio Nature Friends' Association.
