Brokholmen virkistysalue

Area: 12.4 ha Acquisition year: 1995 Nautical chart series Z 620 The area consists of three islands, of which the largest - Stora Brokholmen - is the most suitable for recreational use both in terms of size and natural conditions. Lilla Brokholmen, located near the northern tip of the main island, is very rocky; the small southern Brokholmsören, on the other hand, is a flat islet. The island's southern shore features alternating fine sand and rock beaches. Sand was taken from the central parts of Brokholmen island around the turn of the century and later in the 1950s. In front of the old sand loading pier, which has been converted into a boat jetty, the water depth is over 17 metres. At the very northern tip of the island, there is an alternative osprey nest, near which movement should be avoided. The island has a good well, which is actively used in summer.
