Kaunissaari

Kaunissaari offers a marina in a sheltered cove on the island's eastern shore, and the island is serviced from Vuosaari by the operator Cardinal Marine Oy. Cottages and rowing boats are available for rent on the island, and a nature trail introduces visitors to the island's natural environment. Additionally, there are five cooking shelters and Kaunissaari restaurant for hikers. Kaunissaari is an island 2 kilometres long and 800 metres wide, boasting diverse animal and plant life and excellent fishing waters. The island features rocky and stony shores as well as magnificent sandy beaches. Kaunissaari recreational park was established in 1959. The area covers 100 hectares, and the water area is approximately 790 hectares.
