The Palakoski tour takes hikers over three scenic rocky outcrops, along the lush Palokoski river and the shore of Lake Palojärvi. The tour is a 4.3 km long, orange-marked circular route, with the car park as both the starting and return point. The Palakoski tour is a challenging route that runs along a narrow, occasionally root-filled and rocky unpaved forest path. The route has steep elevation changes. The rocks are slippery when wet. From the Palakoski tour, you can climb stairs to the Mummusali scenic rock, which is signposted along the route.
