Salonsaari / Birgitan polku

The site has a lean-to and an outhouse. Hiking in Salonsaari is litter-free, as there are no waste bins in the area. Firewood is not provided, so you must bring your own. The island serves as an important nesting and feeding area for birds. The island can be accessed, for example, by rowing boat. A boat can be rented free of charge from Lempäälä-talo's Service Corridor; instructions can be found on the www.lempäälä.fi website. To note. Please note that the water current can be strong at times. Do not cross the ice in winter or swim in summer. Hiking on the island is only recommended during the ice-free season by boat or canoe.
