Taruksen retkeilyalue

The Tarus hiking area is a vast 1000-hectare forest area located in Padasjoki, featuring several small lakes and a total of 11 kilometres of shoreline. The area has a swimming beach, campfire rings, lean-tos, the Evo Ilvesvaellus hiking trail, a cabin, and a sauna. There is an information point at the parking area on the northern shore of Iso-Tarusjärvi. The area is connected to the Evo State Recreational Area. The area is owned by the City of Hämeenlinna.
