Samppavuori is a pine-covered rocky area and a private rock protection area located on Livonsaari island in Naantali. At the top of the approximately 51-metre-high mountain, there is a viewing tower offering extensive views of Livonsaari's forests, fields and surrounding sea areas. The area also features a giant's kettle shaped by the Ice Age, a boulder formation called Kalliokirkko (Rock Church), and the smooth Tanssikallio (Dance Rock). Samppavuori viewing tower is signposted from Velkuantie road. From Velkuantie, turn onto Pohjanpääntie, continue for about 1.8 kilometres. Then turn left onto Pontikkalantie and drive along the narrow road for about one kilometre to the parking area. The parking area has space for a few cars. Please note that your navigation app may direct you past the Pontikkalantie junction to Kiiaistentie. However, the viewing tower cannot be accessed via Kiiaistentie, as the road connection is cut off. From the parking area, a marked forest path of about 300 metres leads to the viewing tower. The short route has uneven terrain and, in places, a steep ascent, which makes it unsuitable for people with reduced mobility. When moving in the area, avoid damaging vegetation and rocks. The paths lead to the area's attractions and the shore of Lake Kaukkostenjärvi.
