Elisaari

The Elisaari area is very beautiful and known for its wild oak forest, which is among the largest in Finland. The island has a manor house built in 1902. Elisaari is home to many rare plants. The fauna is abundant, and white-tailed deer and elk have been observed in the area. A marked nature trail is a good way to explore the island. Part of Elisaari was designated a nature reserve in 1994. The outdoor recreation area was established in 1971. The area covers 323 ha (water area 91 ha).
