The hiking trail is mostly easy to walk: along the way there are forest roads and flat paths, but the route also has sections of medium difficulty. In these sections, the terrain is uneven, rocky, with brushwood on the ground or stones and rock faces that can be slippery when wet. Along the hiking trail there are very diverse village landscapes: fields, commercial forests, and beautiful yards and buildings. The trail is marked with orange dots, ribbons and wooden signposts. Varpasalo hiking trail is mainly easy. It goes on small sand and gravel roads and forest paths. Trail is marked with orange colour and wooden "walker"signs.
